Mineral Oil PC Video

Me and a few guys at work decided to do a oil pc build.

Specs: Intel Pentium D 3.0GHZ
2gb DDR2 memory
7200GS graphics
120GB Laptop HDD
600W OCz Modular Power Supply

Cheap 30 dollar fish tank from Walmart
5 gallons of mineral oil (83 bucks!)
Ubuntu 10.04 x64 Operating System

The heat is ...
The heat is relatively low, max of 48C at full load. But we are not pushing anything fancy here. Another problem was size constraints. We had to use micro atx boards and also our graphics card couldn't extend farther than the motherboard. Portability and working on it is a huge hassle also. Lastly, you will probably need hard drives for laptops because no space to mount them. Check? out our new lid video to see how much we have improved.

Thinking of doing this, it's an awesome look but what is the heat on gaming or something? My specs CPU: Amd Phenom II Quad Core 3.60Ghz RAM: 12GB DDR3 1333Mhz GPU: HD 5850 2GB Vapor-X HDD: 500GB Sata 2 and 250GB Sata 2 Do I need any? earthing etc like what excactly do I need to make it safe and will it run cooler all the time?

Yup it all worked fine. Actually we redid the lid? and I need to make a followup video of our work.

nope... odorless. We have had it for about 1/2 a year and its fine. Actually doing some mods? on it atm. Going to put a pluxiglass lid on it fit to all the components.
